What is Ho’oponopono?
If you’ve read about Ho’oponopono in one of my books or emails or heard about it on YouTube, you have an idea what it is and how powerful its healing is. If not, then here is my current understanding of this Hawaiian Healing Art.
From My Journal on July 16, 2017 (Unedited)
I’ve really dived into the Ho’oponopono method lately. It seems to be working miracles in my life. If you don’t know what it is, Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian practice / belief system that focuses on clearing away unwanted energy in the form of Subconscious Beliefs / Physical Ailments / Life Events / anything and everything that you personally consider out of place in your life. You use the clearing phrase (mantra):
I love you
Please forgive me
On the feelings and thoughts you have about a particular thing, person, event to clear out the old scripting and get back to zero in that area. Once you are back at zero you are in a place to receive and act on Divine inspiration.
The philosophy of Ho’oponopono I’ve learned is that we are all 100% accountable for everything in our world (awareness) because we each are directly connected to the Divine. This connection allows us the ability and gift of being able to clear things from the universal fabric / consciousness. We must simply look / feel / listen inside ourselves to discover the feelings / thoughts / impressions we have about an issue and then clean on these.
“What is it inside of me that is bringing this about?”
“What is it inside of me that is manifesting this way?”
“What is it inside of me that caused this to happen?”
Where “inside of me” means both inside of me as self and inside of me as a connection to the universal mind / whole / consciousness.

My understanding of the art of Ho’oponopono is still limited. And by nature of being human it may always be limited. But I’m sharing my understanding with you in hope you’ll explore this Hawaiian art, put it to use in your life, and deepen your own understanding.
